District Court Mediation
We serve the local District Court by mediating misdemeanors and other cases, thereby increasing the efficiency of the court process. Adult probation and parole mediation services are also available in Family, Juvenile, and Small Claims Courts.

Medicaid Appeals
Medicaid appeals are referred to mediation by the State of North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings.

Community Mediation
Community Mediation is a service offered to the general public. Mediators are available to assist individuals, groups, and organizations to resolve their conflicts privately and confidentially.

Facilitation Services

Trained facilitators are also available to conduct meetings, retreats, and other small or large group affairs.

Training Services
We offer classes in communication skills, non-violent communication, conflict resolution, mediation, anger management, and facilitation. All training courses are interactive and focus on issues relevant to day-to-day life.

Youth Services
Our center teaches young people how to resolve their differences peacefully. Topics include:

               Conflict Resolution
               Anger Management
               Peer Truancy

The Juvenile Justice Project is also part of youth services.  The project helps to divert youth from the Criminal Justice System using restorative processes such as victim-offender mediation & truancy conferencing.

School Mediation
Our mediation center provides training and technical assistance to schools that want to develop peer mediation programs. Participants learn how to help their peers communicate their issues and work to resolve them. Peer mediation programs have proven to be an effective means of teaching youth how to handle conflicts. In addition to the training programs, we also provide mediators.
